General Requirements: Experienced with VHDL/Verilog design and simulation of complex electronic systems using Xilinx/Altera FPGAs, implementation of CCAs for high-speed digital and analog designs, and development of designs that interface with digital, analog, and RF subsystems. General knowledge of signal integrity issues pertaining to modern FPGA-based designs. Development and design of embedded systems using ARM, Coldfire, PowerPC, Pentium, or soft-core processors (MicroBlaze/NIOS) very desirable.
Specific Requirements: Direct FPGA design/simulation experience of 1M+ gate designs using one or more FPGAs. Experience with the implementation of large scale DDR/DDR2 memory subsystems using custom or vendor-supplied IP. Experience with FPGA functional and post-route simulation using vendor-supplied SecureIP Cores.
Experience: Ten or more years (10+) of hardware and systems design experience is required. Master’s of Science desirable, but not required.
Current Work: Design of complex FPGA-based system for the modeling and testing of advanced multi-mode guided weapons. Will require interfacing to high-speed digital and RF systems using PCIe, RocketIO, Gigabit Ethernet, 125MHz+ DDR interfaces. Will be required to interface to the customer, support design reviews, and produce design documentation and test procedures.
General Requirements: Experienced with Object-Oriented software design and development practices. Implementation of Real-Time embedded systems using variety of operating systems including VxWorks, Linux, and/or Windows a plus. Experience with the design and implementation of embedded systems using FPGA-based processor cores and custom/COTS OS and software components a significant plus. Device driver development experience also desirable.
Specific Requirements: Design and development experience with C++/Ada-based weapon systems. System modeling/simulation at various levels of representation leading to the implementation and testing of the embedded system. Development of software modules/libraries for interfacing to hardware and communications systems. Experience with software testing practices, development of test procedures and test drivers is required. Design and development experience of network-centric applications using Internet Protocol (IP) is required.

Job Description: The candidates for this position will provide software development support to the Military Flight Operations Quality Assurance (MFOQA) System, and other automated aviation logistics and support projects. Development is in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in computer science, or related technical field, and there are various positions with 2 to 6+ years of related experience required.
Required Skills: Candidate must possess a strong understanding of Microsoft .Net development environments and UML methodologies. Candidates with experience with SQL Server and other relational required. Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
Desired Skills: Experience working in a systems/software development, integration and test environment preferred. CMM level III or higher experience preferred. Experience with SQL Server replication services. Demonstrated experience with various reporting tools and applications, Business Objects Crystal Reports and MS SQL reporting services. Proven ability to work within a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Army Aviation systems and data is a plus.
